This live online workshop will provide attendees with an introduction to the treatment of complex developmental trauma and dissociation. A highly interactive and engaging training, participants will learn via live demonstrations, case studies, videos, interactive activities, and didactic discussion. Attendees will be provided an introduction to structural dissociation theory as well as specific "how-to" methods for addressing complex trauma.

This Healing The Whole Self Part I live online workshop will provide attendees with an introduction to the treatment of complex developmental trauma and dissociation. A highly interactive and engaging training, participants will learn via live demonstrations, case studies, videos, interactive activities, and didactic discussion. Attendees will be provided an introduction to structural dissociation theory as well as specific "how-to" methods for addressing complex trauma.

Healing the Whole Self Part I is divided into two 3.5-hour online events, with time between both days, to support your integration of the material in your work with clients.

Whether a seasoned EMDR therapist or one who is recently trained, we all know that clients with complex developmental trauma disorders don’t necessarily “fit the mold.” Perhaps we find ourselves feeling “stuck” with these challenging cases, wondering why the EMDR Standard Protocol isn’t “working,” baffled by why a client destabilizes and needs extra clinical support. It is not that the EMDR standard protocol doesn’t “work” it is actually that with complex trauma, there is a dissociative process in place that must be treated first.

Clinicians will experience themselves as being “held” via the structure of the curriculum. As a result, clinicians can further conceptualize their clinical cases, integrate and apply what is learned through the lens of Structural Dissociation Theory and EMDR therapy, and deepen their understanding of structural dissociation in a supportive community of shared learning.

Note: This HWS Part I class is also a prerequisite to the ever-popular, small online event Healing the Whole Self Part II that occurs 3-4x a year, whereby participants apply what is learned to personal material in a practicum based format, providing opportunities for in-depth live experiential learning and consultation.

EquiLateral Equine-Assisted EMDR Course (15 EMDRIA Credits)

EquiLateral: The Equine-Assisted EMDR Protocol was created by Sarah Jenkins, who premiered the equine-assisted approach to EMDR therapy. Equine-Assisted EMDR (EA-EMDR) involves partnering with horses as sentient beings and in a manner that is supported by training, qualifications, ethical practice, and a keen awareness of client and animal welfare.

EMDR therapists trained in the protocol mindfully incorporate equine-assisted interactions within the eight-phased, three-pronged, standard EMDR protocol to become Equine-Assisted EMDR.
